Acupuncture and Its Origin
First off, acupuncture is one of the most broadly used healing system in the universe. Acupuncture was introduced to and practiced in Korea and Japan as far as back in the pre-historic age. They can be 1mm thick and are generally inserted to up to one-quarter of an inch into our skin. To increase the impact of the 10 minutes or more (up to 60 minutes, sometimes) treatment, electricity may also be used to make the needles vibrate and impact the meridian points. The key here is to remove the two blockages varieties – excess qi or not enough qi issues. It is important that the practitioners are familiar with the relevant meridian points for treatment because different meridian points need to be stimulated for different illnesses.
How Does People Feel About the Treatment?
The lay person will think that acupuncture is painful. In fact, most people don’t feel a thing more than a tiny prick. When done right, you will even feel soothing. A good acupuncture treatment will normally have a few meridian points treated with anywhere from 2 to 20 needles at the same time. This has synergistic healing effect on the body.

It can also help in the qi flow in our brain and spines. Do note that acupuncture is not a fast instant result treatment. Followups are required, and depending on the ailments – 2 to 10 times, or even up to 1 years’ treatment is necessary.
People Feel Worse After Acupuncture?
People do report feeling a little worse after an acupuncture treatment before they start feeling better. In this regard, the Chinese acupuncture practitioners often take a different view to medical problems. Western medicines tend to go for the instant cure.
While acupuncture is really good for pain relief, it is also very good in treating many ailments. Among them, arthritis, fertility, addictions, and much more. But remember, the very foundation of acupuncture is still the balancing of qi flow in our body.
